Absolutelyafrica is a proudly South African business which brings the traditional beading craft of the Zulu people to a wider South African and international audience.

 Handcrafted Zulu beading has existed for centuries and is traditionally passed down from mother to daughter. This beautiful craft is incredibly

labor intensive and takes numerous years to master. absolutelyafrica was started in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in 2003, with the objectives of providing employment to impoverished beaders, promoting the traditional beading craft of the Zulu people, and producing both traditional and contemporary beaded products.

 We employ thirty-two exceptionally talented female beaders who create our beautiful beaded jewellery, gifts and accessories, as well as the beadwork on our unique handbags.

We are constantly expanding our product range and collaborating with our beaders to design creative and contemporary products in a vast array of styles, patterns, and colours. Attention to detail and a high-quality standard are important to us as we aim to showcase the art of traditional Zulu beading.
